The Young Researcher's Award
The IChemE Particle Technology Subject Group is pleased to announce the winners of the Young Researcher's Award in Particle Technology 2007, for excellence in the field of Particle Technology research.
1st Prize (£500) - Sarah Germaná (University College London)
2nd Prize (£300) - Kel Win Chua (University of Sheffield)
3rd Prize (£200) - Yu Guo (University of Birmingham)
Applicants were initially requested to submit a two-page extended abstract. The abstracts were judged by a panel according to the criteria of quality, originality and relevance of the research. The finalists were all required to give an oral presentation on Wednesday 26th September 2007 as part of the 8th UK Particle Technology Forum. The three winners were selected by the Committee, based on the quality of presentation as well as the criteria listed above. The awards were presented at the Forum Dinner on the evening of 26th September.
